3 tips to become more mindful
June 12, 2018 by Patrick Kozakiewicz
At Uloo we believe in the power of mindfulness and in its ability to help you attain your goals. This is why we wanted to share with you the three most powerful tips to become more mindful.
Mindfulness is all about living in the here and now and experiencing life to the fullest in this present moment. In order to get started you first have to learn to observe. Observe your own thoughts and feelings. Mindfulness is not about stopping thoughts or feelings, nor controlling them. It is first and foremost about learning to observe them. Learning to become aware of them. So, next time you get stressed and your mind is racing and giving you reasons and justifications for your stress, simply take a step back and observe. Become the observer.
At Uloo you have the ability to observe yourself and others in reaching goals. As well as the ability to observe what motivates you and what does not. You can even join a squad and together you can be mindful with one another and grow your own awareness.
Compassion, non-judgement, openness, curiosity… all words related to Mindfulness. You must first learn to love yourself, your thoughts and feelings in order to proceed and further develop. Love is key for life let alone mindfulness. This is why tip number 2 is to love harder, stronger and more often. Be gentle with yourself, and love yourself most when you feel it least. Practicing love will enhance your mindfulness and allow you to develop better relations with all.
At Uloo we aspire to love. It is the main reason we started the app. We wanted to grow love around the world and through love spread goals, quotes, motivation and the growth of communities.
They say practice makes perfect. Well, I say perfect is practice. Everything is perfect in its own way and degree. Trying to reach perfection means that this current moment is lacking something for you. If it is lacking something then you are not mindful enough. So, tip 3 is practice. Practice mindfulness in any way or degree you see fit. Join a group, use an app, read a book or listen to audio tapes. Whatever you like to do you can practice it mindfully, and make sure you try different practices out because if it is not fun and applicable to your style then simply change the mindfulness practice. The best way to practice is with the support of others.
At Uloo you can practice with your own squad or practice with strangers. The power of community allows much flexibility in the way you practice.
We hope these 3 tips will help your mindfulness grow. And remember, we and the community are here for you. If you need more insights or support with your goals, mindfulness or any of the three tips, just simply reach out to us and we will be more than happy to speak with you.
